Choose Your Agent Wisely!
Have mortgage rates finally hit their peak? Will we see some sort of “normalcy” come back to the market? While no one can say for sure, we can look at what experts are saying about the market!
The first thing I want to point out is, that with interest rates rising, it has many buyers concerned about entering the market. But the market has also brought in a large number of new agents, over 150,000 from just 2020 to 2021, alone, according to Homelight, the national agent ranking site. These agents have never worked in a challenging market, so many of them are not able to properly advise sellers, especially, based on their lack of experience in markets where interest rates spike or when the competition in the market, is suddenly up 300%, like we see today.
When I started in this business, interest rates were over 15%. Here at The Don Pelletier Group, we have seen a lot of different kinds of markets, including the 2008 crash. And we are constantly looking to the experts, analyzing the market data, and giving the best expert advice that we can to our clients to help navigate this challenging market. Rates are nowhere near where they have been, and normal is an ever-changing target. Having an agent with a long track record, that has worked successfully, in all market conditions, is now more important than ever! That is because it is, specifically, this very point in the market cycle, where sellers stand to lose tens of thousands of dollars, by taking the wrong steps-or at the wrong time.
So, remember to choose your agent wisely as there is no longer a margin of error, and a lot of money at stake! We are always here to help you navigate any market we may face and we can tell you more about the current market, where things are likely heading. We can also help you to plan a solid strategy, to derive the very best outcome, for you and your family, whether you are selling, buying or both!
