Maybe you’re an empty nester and you no longer need that 4 bedroom; 3000 SF home?  But you’re wondering what my options are.  Why should I move?  Where do I move? I’ll be helping you to navigate your options   Downsizing doesn’t have to have a negative connotation.  It can result in a home that offers energy efficiency, and sustainability and is just the right size which will provide more time for the things that you love, family, friends, social activities, hobbies, and travel. Some people living in the suburbs may choose to move more remotely while others want to be closer to restaurants and shopping.

Sometimes a change in a family situation results in wanting to make a move while in another scenario, there may be two adults coming together who have previously owned their own home and now want a home together. Living large in a smaller footprint can easily be obtained.  Look for a home offering an open floor plan and fewer hallways.  Decorate with lighter colors and maximize windows to allow sunlight to flow.  Get creative with storage. Living large as an active adult has options; which one is right for you?  Are you looking for a community offering amenities such as a clubhouse or pool?  Do you want to be able to look out your window while someone else mows your lawn or do you still want to do those activities?  Do you want to be in an age-restrictive community?  Do you prefer to have an HOA or do you not?  Do you prefer a townhome?  Condo?  A small home or a home in an active adult community?  Or maybe you are looking for a community that offers assistance as the need arises over time. These are many of the questions to consider before beginning your search.
