Are you a homeowner on the fence about selling your home? If you are thinking about selling in today’s market, it is worth considering all the reasons why making the move now could make a lot of sense for you.

According to Real Trends, and I quote, “The most common sellers will be homeowners downsizing, people moving to get more space, and families looking for better schools for their children.” In a recent survey by Realtor.com, here are the four top reasons homeowners were considering listing their homes.

Take Advantage of the Current Market to Make a Profit. Thirty-three percent of homeowners want to take advantage of the low inventory market. Even though home prices have declined significantly, in some markets, across the USA, unlike our  San Diego market, where prices have increased by 12% just since February!. This is mainly due to the low inventory we are experiencing.

Home No Longer Meets Our Needs. Thirty-two percent state they have outgrown their current home. The average person has been in their home for ten years. For some, that is a long time, and a lot of changes impact what you need in a home.

Move Close to Family. Twenty-seven percent of homeowners want to live closer to friends and family and twenty-five percent want to downsize to a smaller home that has less maintenance and work.

The bottom line, you have a lot to consider when deciding if it is time to move on. Contact my team and I so we can map out the perfect plan for you to find the perfect place to call home.
